Description:
Support both supervisors in all facets of their daily work. Develop a system of support in both remote and in-person protocols as the full team will not be all in the same place at the same time. Develop and write press releases, pitch letters, author Q&As, and press kits. Identify key audiences on a title-by-title basis, develop targeted mailing lists, and execute galley mailings. Contact with agents, authors, booksellers, and media. Evaluate proposals and provide written feedback. Assist with planning for book tours, media outreach, detailed itineraries, and author travel, where necessary.

- Exceptional writing skills and attention to detail
- Ability to read on deadline
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Previous administrative experience
- Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word required. InDesign a plus
- Self-starter with the ability to develop new projects and departmental initiatives
- Proactive approach to problem-solving
- Strong interest in the book publishing industry
- Fluent in digital technology and social media
- A goal-oriented team player who can cultivate productive working relationship with internal and external stakeholders
- Proficiency in creative problem solving, decision making, and time management
- Book publishing or publicity/PR internship experience a plus but not required
